When I was in the military, we might be on the rifle range, our out in the training area on a week long training excercise and you'd hear this horn blast in the distance. The horn would blare, and we all knew what it was... "The Gut Truck". Some old crusty retired Sergeant Major, would pull up in the truck (just like the one in the picture) loaded down with soda, chips, pre-cooked burgers, hot dogs, and plenty of snuff and cigs for those that probably ran out. When you've been in the field eating MREs (meals ready to eat) for a week, you will just about give up your first born for a cold Coke or Dr Pepper! MREs are like eating high class cat or dog food, with enough Tabasco Sause, they almost tasted good!
